the first htt run failed and it was close, couple hundred meters

so we 're docked and I am absolutely sure I said AGAIN!

so here we go again on the htt run from hell, only this time, we're eyed as soon as we're out of base the entire way there

Yeah. I gotta say drivin the HTT through that insane dogfight where I was the end goal of every SysX pilot out there was intense. Still not sure how I managed to live through that TBH. I think they had SB's lining up on our base as well. We had some truly epic games back then.

It came down to this:

The strategy back then was to never, ever, ever kill the nans. Even with Mini1, you would form up within 500m of each other and engage at the same time making sure to not miss any bullets. It just so happened that you caught us JUST enough off guard to pod a few ints, and the extra pilots we needed were in SBs. I remember it being ridiculously close to killing you. As in, 1 more int would of killed you. But as it happened, that one int was not to be found and our fate was sealed.

That was the way it was back then, it required ridiculous precision every time you attacked or defended. Having even one pilot doing his own thing or fail meant the death of your miner, or in this case, the loss of a game.

That's why it was the best game I ever played -- from top to bottom both squads were just so dead even in talent.

Was that the game where it was starting to look iffy for us when suddenly weed declares in his intense, yet nonchalant way:

QUOTE @#$%! it, we're winning this.[/quote]
