Feel free to do as you see fit, the models are free for everyone to mess up with. As for beauty or ugliness, i don't really think i'll even try arguing about personal taste, it's just a waste of time: could as well say you either like or dislike someone else's work, since this is a totally subjective matter.
On a side note, if you take the guns away (be warned it'll look way more fragile after), remember to patch up the leftover hole.
Also, i was thinking about trying out the transparency trick for those hard chassis structures (thin arrays of tubes). But then i've got no way to model easily anymore, so feel free to handle 'em as you prefer, i don't really mind.
For girly: some time ago i actually tried out the tilted version. It's totally doable, but Rama requested the engines to still retain their horizontal alignment with the flying vector. That breaks up the model a bit, since the tubes are circled by intakes... it just looks like someone badly bent the engines. I still have that version somewhere, but i am not going to post it, since it did modify rama's work too far from its author's concept.

-sing- Just always look on the bright side of life -whistle, bow to monty python's Life of Brian-

I'd prefer to never see the thinscout again if avoidable. And despite Compellor's lack of eyes or other senses capable of determining what looks cool I doubt even he can argue that it is less beautiful than the old TF scout.

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable
"It is not that I cannot create anything good, but that I will not." And to prove this, he created the peacock.
I love the new TF fighters. I never thought I'd say that
I was a bit dubious of that model, but it looks and feels brilliant in the game! Rain, get a computer again so you get to join in the fun.

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept
Im sure you guys are aware of it, but its not being discussed here so: The new TF scout is plainly too thin in front profile.
Code: Select all

That was posted a week ago. Half of this entire thread has been about the TF scout. Try reading more in this forum than just the topic titles before posting.Xeretov wrote:QUOTE (Xeretov @ Apr 19 2010, 01:29 PM) Since I keep mentioning it, here is our list of known issues:
Unusable research tech in shipyard & garrison.OH Figbees doing Bomber damageThe Stealth Bomber damage output & ammo. The Stealth Fighter size.OH capship speed.Hammer not being tied to other AB weaponry.Relative weakness of OH Devs compared to the ships they effectively replace.Teleref not having a unique icon.OH Freighter having the wrong discount.Teleref having a misleading description.TF Scout (and possibly other models) size.HTT Torque (If it becomes an issue)
And yes I merged your thread into this one. Hopefully you can find it here.

Scout will be changed for sure. Still no comments on htt?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday
Idanmel wrote:QUOTE (Idanmel @ Mar 19 2012, 05:54 AM) I am ashamed for all the drama I caused, I have much to learn on how to behave when things don't go my way.
My apologies.
I didn't like how sluggish they felt. I couldn't dodge rams as I used to be able to, and I guess the additional mass helps keeping it going forward, but really, I would personally like its old agility back.
For reference I have driven the Rix and IC HTT on 4 successful caps vs Hvy Ints. Rams did not seem to be as big a factor as they used to be. I've seen OH HTTs do poorly mainly because the drivers themselves were not as skilled as HTT'ing requires.

Altought they are a bit strange to fly (and even stranger to ram) they became again a useful endgame strategy, which I saw more times this week than in the last 3 months before cc09. It's more difficult than sbs or tp2, but it still works often.
Until now the enggame of exp was conpushing or 2nd tech.
I tested tf tac only once in a small game. I got the impression that the sfs are very big. Anyone else can confirm that from a real game?
edit: speling. I repairs also worse choosing of words and grammer.
