There's a joke in there somewhere about launching a missile from the rear...

Figbees... the runner up of allegiance

Thoughts

1) Applies to all bombers... please correct me if im wrong, but your targeting computer targets the center of the base and your displayed distance to target is != to your actual range for hitting a base (at least ram-wise)

2) No one but the professionals ever think about stealthifying their figbee. Probably cuz fighters suck at stealth.

Target range is given to the middle of the target for all targets. Launch up Training Mission 6, target your base, and try to get to the spot. You can't.

FIZ is correct, if you shoot from the right angle you can gain up to 300m additional range against some bases

Edit: 300m is pretty rare (eg. when shooting at one of the corners of the ic sy), it's usually much less (50-150)

150m at 75mps is 2 seconds. We've all needed another 2 seconds in an SB before. ;)

Sometimes a miner is docked in the base you are currently killing and guns might be useful.

I most certainly do go low sig!
FYI figs are not as loud as people think.
As of CC05, a naked fig = int = 100%

I also make sure to take three ABs. If you know how to launch at max range it's not impossible to survive long enough for the third one.

When you survive long enough for 3 abs and the base is still alive.. so that you really can use all 3 abs then at least one team sucks. In most cases both.

not entirely true, sometimes a fb will get past the vague line of ints and while most the rest get shredded, that said fb will continue to hit the base multiple times

not sure if I agree with taking off all the guns on a figbee. It totally depends really, I can't aim worth a @#(! so I don't bother doing anything more than boosting directly to the base, evade prox and dumbfires, and try not to die.
However, I've seen a few times that an armed figbee, hell, even a turreted one, podded more than one defender and made it to the base fighting it's way through.
