If we're not making money from allegiance, what money would be sought?notjarvis wrote:QUOTE (notjarvis @ Aug 25 2015, 04:18 AM) I think that could lead to a potentially large legal bill.
Especially since FAO has already asked for permission, you can't pretend you didn't know permission was required.
The only bill would be if we got a lawyer to fight it.
And sure we could pretend whatever we want.
It would take someone from Microsoft to ink a deal with someone from Steam to make it happen. Steam will not touch it because Steam is the one who will get BBQ'd in the legal fight. Also, it would lead to one very sad Canadian and one even sadder German should we whammy out on our first spin.
However, I'd like to think about how to bait the hook for the MS Azure guys to think about bringing this back to the fold. After all, it's an MSR game, where better to host it than as a show case test bed for their cloud services? MS would have no legal issues at all with a return to the windows 10 store for the game. It's an all MS show... riiiiight? Now, if we could just get them to think a little more clearly about legacy apps on the windows store, we're almost home! (Literally!)
We just need to show this ol' warhorse has some value left in it.

Castho stopped giving reports.
As I recall we didn't wrap that up.
We are just in need of a update from MS/MSR.

Well, as some help to you guys, on Friday night about 6-8 PM (6 or 7 if you're in England) i'll be seeing how much people from a steam group i'm in show up to an event and Allegiance, hopefully it helps spread the word about this game. Might make it be public, or passworded. We'll see. (Group has about 50 members and most are active and very much in touch with me.)
Pretty much what Blacksun said + we even had Solap send a message to Rick Rashid to discuss changing the license and Solap posted for cashto to contact him.
There were no real updates from any of the parties involved after that.
It can be reviewed in the topic below.

So only the normal players and devs are left now, without anyone to be able to be our free lawyer or such? We just have to wait for something to happen or for one of the mentioned people to re-appear later on telling us if anything happened?Papsmear wrote:QUOTE (Papsmear @ Aug 26 2015, 02:52 PM) Pretty much what Blacksun said + we even had Solap send a message to Rick Rashid to discuss changing the license and Solap posted for cashto to contact him.
