Perhaps you should make these deliberations public then. The only way to know what the SLs are talking about, right now, is if it is made public by one of them, selectively.cashto wrote:QUOTE (cashto @ Jul 2 2014, 04:47 PM) No, what I'm saying is that this is a delicate negotiation; the other SLs have the same concern and having more people pile on is not going to get us to a better or faster resolution.
We value balanced squads, but we also value getting inactive players to come back and play this game. We're trying to figure out a solution that gets us the best of both worlds.
Discussion on the balance of new squads

I don't want that time to be a @#(!-storm of hate and schadenfreude.
I swear I'm like a nuclear deterrent. I now know what it's like to be America and I'm not even American.

Hes got good players that play well together. They got that way by playing together often, with one common ambition - to win.Malicious Wraith wrote:QUOTE (Malicious Wraith @ Jul 2 2014, 04:56 PM) Perhaps you should make these deliberations public then. I intend to gather good players and instill a common ambition - to win.
If you are reading this and want to bitch about balance instead of discussing how to win, do not post your name for my squad.

My opinion is that Drizzo's squad isn't badly stacked. If anything Drizzo has maybe one more very good player than the rest of the squads. Is that a stack?
Further, the squads are not nearly completed, and they will be evened out with players that are added.
And the SLs know this will be a challenge. Good players don't get good overnight, but that's a reason we have active players!

We should totally ban Elzam. /sDjole88 wrote:QUOTE (Djole88 @ Jul 2 2014, 01:45 PM) Drizzo doesn't have a stacked roster so can we move the drama to a different subject? I would say drop it but that would violate the law of drama conservation.

I just loled at xj statements. Complaining about stack without even trying to win. I honestly didnt apply to any other squad, because besides drizzo and lordy arachy (wich probably wont show up at all), the only other person I actually enjoy flying with that is currently on a squad is terran. Otherwise I honestly wouldn't be interested in joining anyone atm.

I think people should understand that I do not complain about stack. I am not in any of these squads, it doesn't concern me personally.
What does concern me is Allegiance as a whole, and as this is an attempt to "make it better" by having balanced squads, I have expressed my opinion that Drizzo's squad has a coinflip scenario. If he gets his vets to turnout they will slaughter the rest of the squads, if he doesn't get the desired turnout, he will get slapped around easily. This applies to any squad, but from my understanding, the "vets" in the rest of the squads have a lot more reliable turnout. Even if on average it will give balanced win/loss, it would definitely not result in good games.
Such a scenario could be avoided by spreading the low turnout vets amongst the rest of the squads, reducing the effect dramatically. As it stands currently, if the SysX bunch bothers to come around to play they will have a good lolgame slapping everyone else about, but if they can't be bothered, the rest of the squad is effectively deadweight.
Dome, even if it was the case that the roster is balanced, you have to state under which condition you think it is balanced? 100% turnout? 50%?
