Any statistics for this?

If you notice at the very end his says, "Great crashed again" but it is simply the end game screen. The abruptness of the game ending makes him think it crashed on him. At the beginning of the video he talks about the game crashed for him and he restarted. So I think what is happening is the game ends, dumps him to the points screen, he doesn't see any chatter or anything from the lobby, thinks he crashes, reboots Allegiance, and by the time he gets back another game has started.

I also think, Im not sure I heard right, he is under the impression it requires Windows Server 2003 to run Allegiance.

No, he crashes. The crash happens AFTER the stat screen so fraps gets it.

I'm not saying most newbies go through training - it's just, in my experience, those who do not are utterly useless and drop out of the game anyway... So I'm not too interested in the difficulties they face.

Are you sure? When Alleg crashes on me (mostly when the game ends while frapsing) it never gets to the stat screen. I think he might just be confused, like Mr.C says.

Heh, yeah. I've got awesome footage of me accidentally podding myself on rocks and bases. Good times!

No, I'm not sure.. I just didn't entertain the possibility of what MrC was talking about...that would be.... mind....blown.

wow.

Extremely eye opening video. The player seemed adequately intelligent while being 90% ignorant of the game. There were moments I wanted to scream through my monitor to tell him the right thing to do.

This is very valuable footage of a noob playing this game.

I intend to work with TheAlaskan and other players and video makers in order to make a universally accepted new player training video. Something as simple as a what to expect and demonstrations could go far to minimize the learning curve.
