Well, his reaction was my reaction also, at first.

But pkk's idea is to pre-empt bickering and take care of any issues that shouldn't really need the admin to step in and make a decision by having a representative body, so there can be one "will of the community"

The senate won't have any kind of real power. It would only serve in advisory capacity to the admin.

Do we really need a "Senate" to do that, then?

How about we just do it the same way we've always done it, we yell at pkk and see if he does what we want or not?

The only era we had something strong going was the Thal/Pook/KGJV era. Self appointed, not elected. active doers. 3 so a majority can be found in case a vote is needed. (how do you decide with 4 people when it's a 2 vs 2 tie). All 3 have same powers and full access to the systems (even dns admin and servers ownership, etc). in case one goes MIA nothing can be stopped.

I haven't seen "old" senate, so i have no doomsday cenarios.
Seems a sound idea.

Tryng to help, not mock. Some inconsistencys with numbers...

2. " It consists of four elected Senators "
#Maybe "at least" supposed to be there.. not sure.

6. " If there are more than eight candidates, primary elections will.."
" Every primary election will reduce the amount of candidates by 50% or less, until candidates are reduced to eight."

7. " Every squad can only have one Senator at time"
#The number of squads can change.
#What if there are are 2 squads from where you get 10 candidates.

There can only be ONE senator from a squad. Which makes it obvious, that at the end of it all, only one can serve. So one would be eliminated and probably replaced with the next highest vote getter.

At least that was Pkk's intent.
