The operative word in ROC SR #3 is "excessive". I think the phrasing is poor in that this word is not the one in bold being stressed.

This is the internet, you're not going to escape foul language especially when it comes to games. Whilst excessive swearing is frowned upon and shouldn't be tolerated if that's all the person is going to do; venting frustration is understandable, especially in this game and to be honest sometimes even the newbies themselves are the offenders rather than the victims.

Nothing short of either banning everyone who swears or expanding the filter and making is compulsory is going to stop swearing in Alleg. Tbh even with the filter (as brood has kindly demonstrated ) people can convey their meaning effectively enough to still offend someone if they wanted to.

I'm afraid I have to vote no because I don't want to be responsible for what I say if I see people who have played the game for years not shoot nans on a bomb run

I may be entirely wrong about this, but I think most of the vets here started playing when they were in their teens. And most of our current newb population are kids. Just something to think about. I voted yes.

he's entirly right, if you look at the age of most of the vets, there early to mid 20's, and they've been playing for years, so of course they started while teenagers.
But like he said, what kind of example are you setting, for the newbies? Also, you can express your rage at people for not doing what there supposed to without swearing, or being mean (roy)

This pool is utterly meaningless. Almost every internet game has profanity. And even worse, most of other online games the chat circles around "teenagers" fighting to see who is the male alpha with the biggest e-peenis. Alleg is by far better than most of those enviorments even with all the profanity we see in here. And just to add, the ROC doesnt permit EXCESSIVE use of it.

Also as you are in AFS, or even if you aren't, if you play this game for sometime, you should know what to do in certain situations, and thats where you get all the rage from. A newbie (as he is learning) usually isnt directly aimed at the insulting, but rather all the voobs who keep doing dumb things. Honestly if a newbie gets butthurt from a vet raging because 90% of the team did something stupid, go play pacman, because you won't fit in here. Never.
