k, I only did read this topic title, flew over like DATA from StarTreck, and now...
Why do you choose PNG instead of similar ASSEMBLER alike behaviour; I mean, why not use the fastest instead of interpretation needed graphic format? It is comparable to compiled to things like PHP, you know. Good luck, one of my remaining Eurocents.

Do use a Format of Graphic which is not going to evolve that a lot in Future, its documenation comes near to extinction, I wanted to say, use a ready-made non-a.lpha nor b.eta thing'y...

Mad, do those actually use 24/32bit colors, or are they simply the old 16 bit images with padding?

Where I couldn't get any original files I converted from the 16bit bmp.mdls so there was a complete set of game art as .png (at the time I created that collection, there maybe more art now).
Edit: Here's a .rar of my 32bit art folder. It contains everything I've mentioned so far in this thread + converted bmp.mdls as .bmps, autohotkey scripts I used to automate conversion and collation and some text files (which were generated+used by the scripts) which contain lists of files (such as files which are found in the allegiance art dir but not found in the source artwork etc).
