fwiffo wrote:QUOTE (fwiffo @ Nov 9 2011, 04:35 PM) interesting concept... i could potentially list a number of pilots for the afs newbie that could serve as the master in a "master-apprentice" role based on compatible playing timezone and willingness to take on such a role.

something like this sound useful?

yes of course. i already have lots of player online pattern data... it's accurate enough for our purpose. only thing missing is the willingness to participate which can be solved simply as thealaskan demostrated by just stating so.

Well, if they are willing to listen, I would be willing to share.

Sounds more like fwiffo is looking for a squire/bitch to go miner hunting with him and be a meat shield.

i can see pros and cons for both newbie choosing vet format or vet choosing newbie... dunno whats best. i think timezone differences is one of the major obstacles so this attempts to alleviate that by suggesting compatible match making so both sets of players have a narrower (but more likely to work out) pool of pilots to choose from.

The Firestorm Lifetime Achievement Award?

You have a long ways to go until you're podded 26,000 times.

I love you Firestorm.
