Also, since I this post had some big answers and I didnt see anything about it.
"Spying" on the enemy team, will get you banned, as its considered cheating. Or am I wrong?

If I understand the thread in development right, there is a fix for the X 52, BUT
if the files are still available is a question
You would have to be quite technical to get it going
And: Your chances would be better under win 7 32 bit as opposed to win 7 64 bit
And: There is no mention of how it would perform under XP. If at all.
Luckily at least one component, called ppjoy is available and there is a Win 64 build, albeit Beta.
So is Autohotkey, another. What I could not figure out is whether you would have to paste the code from the posts in yourself, etc.
You will have to be patient however you want to tackle this.
I have pm'ed him, so I hope that you get a response. Good luck

Ah well, whatever. This game needs SO MUCH mouse that i think i'd rather use it all the way, and get used to the hard aiming system, than constantly swap between mouse and joystick.
I have played my first two games... this game is SO FUN

Lovin it. Soo deep, so fun, so complex...
Even being a total noob its so great flying around, finding asteroids, deploying probes and thinking "i am very important to my team even though i cannot fight, i will still contribute to the team..."
And then, getting some kills, i dunno if 25KB is big or not but its such a thrill, and then helping someone's pod by picking it up, etc etc... Superb
Gotta go study the tech specs of ships etc

These threads never ever fail to remind me of how awesome this game is...

The files are still available.
It does require PPJoy, which requires a lot of special steps to work on 64 bit operating systems, at least the last time I looked.
It should work just fine on XP, but I have not tested this myself.
Once you get PPJoy and Autohotkey installed, getting things to work only requires running my script.
My script does one particularly odd thing, in that it maps the throttle region above the afterburner detent and below the idle detent to DirectX button presses. This allows you to fire boosters by moving past the afterburner detent and fire back thrusters by moving below the idle detent.
All the other button presses are mapped to DirectX buttons, to make mapping the controls within Allegiance easier.
To understand the particulars and change what I've done around, you do have to be pretty technical. However, if you just blindly follow the instructions provided, it should all work.
For what it's worth, I love playing Alleg with the X52, and find that it gives me a much more immersive experience.
If you have any problems, post here, or to the thread where the instructions are presented:
http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...53996&st=80
I'll be checking these threads over the next few days to see if things are working out for you.

Yes thank you i will try it as soon as i get to it.
I actually kinda feel that playing this game with a joystick will be a problem since it requires so much mouse action...
But if it makes targeting easier then yeah i'd love to play with my x52

One very important thing that noone has mentioned yet --
DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE PLAY ON A COMPUTER YOU HAVE PLAYED ON!
Every computer you play on is "linked" to your account. If someone else signs in with their callsign on a computer you have played on, it will "LINK" their callsign and yours.
If you have friends/brothers/sisters/parents/children that want to play as well, a special exception needs to be made for them in advance otherwise only one of you will be able to play at a time.
Despite the fact that ASGS mentions this the first time you play, it's still really high on the list of "Helpline" posts.
Good Luck, and have fun.

Believe me, even being a noob and flying totally aimless at random sectors (considering you are using a scout), and dropping random probes, YES, YOU ARE BEING VERY IMPORTANT. And probably will be THAT key player that will eye that "uneyed" bomber/htt and piss off the enemy completely.
