The Frostbite engine was test-driven in Battlefield: Bad Company which is only on the xbox 360, but BF:BC2 also has it. And I think BF:1943 has it.

If you want something more realistic get Arma 2 or for free check out Americas Army.
:iluv:

ArmA2 strength is in its community mission design and custom scripting, but sadly noone takes the time to play with the right people to see its magic.

I saw last week, ArmA3 is on its way, but like all its predecessors, it will take about 12 months after release for its potential to be fixed and found by the community

I'm kinda getting into this:

http://ava.ijji.com/

It's deff a jack of all trades/ master of none and takes a loooong assed time to download, but it is kinda fun. It has scenarios like L4D, CS, TF2 and some pretty wicked AI. Worth checkin out if you got the HD space, its free.

The only concerns: a lot of that XBOX childish people calling out hacking.
and an anti cheat client that set my AVS off.

Can't wait to get my SG556 :D
A little disappointed about the lack of good iron sights though.

Another game that makes you sign up before telling you the requirements for running it. The Moron Parade continues.

Yesterday, they only had a pic and a pop up asking you to sign up or use Facebook to connect. It's completely different today. I'll try it out, thx Fiz.

I'm looking forward to Battlefield 3 mostly because I have high hopes. I absolutely loved BF2 when it came out, but as time went on and people learned how to use the aircraft and how to install punkbuster bypassing hacks, the game got destroyed.

I still remember getting on with a bunch of guys on Teamspeak in the same squad and working our way through a map. Some of the best gameplay i've experienced in any game. It was a perfect blend of semi-realism and arcadey mechanics imo. The commander spot was a really cool implementation too, and I hope they can balance it and bring it back, but somehow I doubt they will do that. Having a competent commander in BF2 was a lot of fun (as was commanding when you had competent squad leaders).

There was a huge amount of potential in BF2 that just needed to be tweaked. Somehow though, I think they are going to try to change this game to suit more of the CoD MP crowd. I hope thats not the case, but these days the big boys follow the money. And unfortunately the huge money is on CoD style @#(!.
