Yar I would play again just to see how it works.

Well you would need the greatest commanders in alleg history to assist you in this if the ai could be coded to 1/4 of their skill smallgames would always have commanders, still such an ai would be unrealistic i would have thought that with all the vairables it would be either impossible or to resource hogging.

And ai players would also need a few fixes, ai cannot reload ammo in there ships this would limit their durability, two they continue to chase ships even after they dissappear from view, 3 i believe wasnt the code that enabled ai to aim removed to stop aimbots or something? correct me if im wrong.

Maybe if players have paydayed half a tech the AI should finish it?
To more accurately simulate a real commander, the AI should automatically and instantly boot any player who stops donating or orders a drone for any reason.

It won't be; not in such a way that is required of a commander

And then never use it as soon as you realise how crap it is.

And that's why.

Is this better suited to your world view now?

Nice idea, but no one can make it work and hence it's just an idea.

Based upon my style of commanding, the AI simulating commanding could not really be placed on a nowadays "internet-computer". As the universe has his wast regions of nowhere and other full of mass and density, the impact of data - only thinking of the one to be stored on - would make the small machine crash. In fact this machine would crash nearly instantly starting to compute all the bones from all our commanders skelletons put into this.

Fairly said, the amount of computing data will crash long games.

Hey! Oh yeah!

Here is the solution ... we could afford an AI in the following case: Make Allegiance round-based.

Really to test the possibly of this working you would need to maximize functionality and efficiency, if a commander ai could be made with all the vairibles some problems would need to solved, such as will the ai use the servers processing capability possibly lowering performance or maybe would it be coded to run from a players computer but that could lead to abuse of code(hacking), and the final question would the ai be any good? any coders about who could answer this?
