I've been watching vids and it looks pretty intresting, you don't level up but there is a ton of gear to fine and they each have special abilities, if you've played minecraft its like that only when you explore its actually fun, and untedious. so far there are only 3-4 gigantic bosses and there is multiplayer. Um, I'm betting I'm forgetting some stuff but for the most part its a cool sandbox type game.

There are NPCs too, but that about sums up the basics.

About Terraria, I enjoy watching the adventurous type play games like it and Minecraft but I would get absolutely bored playing it on my own.

Update 1.03 finally added a scaleable window / fullscreen resolution changes so large pics are workable now.
Oh yeah, and standalone servers as well.
