XT has always been competitively driven - long before anyone had an organized tournament here (the first was in 2007) and I expect we will continue to do so no matter what.

Yeah, you're entirely right imo. There's a roughly 65-35 split in favour of your opinion but we can't have league matches unless everyone (or nearly everyone) signs up to it. Plus it's too late for one this year.

NightRychune wrote:QUOTE (NightRychune @ Feb 20 2011, 04:55 PM) XT shows the same amount of people whether or not it's a "league" or "tournament"

i'm not sure why other squads can't do the same!
As I tell my wife always and never are bad modifiers to use. There have been games even your great squad has barley turned out 10 . Just saying..... never and always... bad terms..

as for me..... I was escorting the wife around the furniture store... trying to keep Her from spending more than $2300.00 for living room furnture.

"Trying" is never a clear indicator of success, so tell us, did you succeed? :P

The problem isn't a matter of "league" or "not league". If you're having a turnout problem, ask yourselves why your people aren't flying SGs anymore. Since I can't imagine anybody enjoying main more than they enjoy a SG, there's two easy answers: either the people who aren't showing for SGs simply aren't able to fly at SG time no matter how much they want to, or they don't fly at all anymore and you haven't gotten around to noticing that your roster is stacked entirely by inactive members.

There's only three squads with less than fifty members, and neither SysX nor RT are among them; I'm not sure you should go throwing blame at external factors if you can't even reliably get twenty percent of your members online at SG time (which has been the same time and day ever since the dinosaurs walked the Earth).

Its very simple to try to abuse logic, and be blind to another possibility. What if we say, those who do not turn up for "friendlies" do not have the motivation to do so? If you play league or tourney, you at least have the shiny notice in the news, and on the front page, and its a league, sounds like something that counts.

It is especially true for myself, since currently I couldnt care less to turn up for friendly SG, unless we are doing something interesting.

Its good that XT does not differentiate between those SGs, and every one of them, is a frontline, but, as it looks like, most of the other people take this game with a lot more realistic approach.

Most other squads should disband.
