I just have to deal with it, thanks for the replies
I'm sorry to hear that you were booted. We actually have a longstanding rule that newbies aren't allowed to be booted; even though you can simply register a new account and come back (up to a total of three accounts), it's not allowed, because we
try to be newbie friendly. The comm has been reported to enforcement, the situation will be reviewed and action will be taken if appropriate.
That said, I understand the commander's frustration. Commanders are very careful about who they allow to fly bombers, because if a bomb runs goes without the necessary escort, or if it gets detected early because the standard precautions weren't taken, then it tips the enemy off to the commander's strategy, and makes subsequent bomb runs harder or even impossible to execute. When they give out money for rescue probes they don't expect you to embezzle that money to buy bombers. In this case the commander is partly to blame for approving the rest of the money, but sometimes that is accidental on their part.
This is something that arguably can be classified as "deliberately sabotaging the team", which is
not protected and you will get a boot no matter what your rank. Many comms will still try to warn you, but if you are about to cause imminent damage and there's not enough time for a warning, or if it appears you are not following their instructions to stop and teleport back home, you'll get a very quick boot.
