So tell us about the SUPER AWESOME UNBREAKABLE security system you must have invented for AZ, then! I certainly hope you wouldn't be poking fun at our security without having some of your own, right? Y'know, for your own sake.

allegiancezone.com wrote:QUOTE (allegiancezone.com @ Sep 19 2010, 06:06 PM) yes, a week or two ago you believed in the infallible ASGS.
If anything has been accomplished, it's that you have gotten off your lazy fat ass. We can all see that
Also this is pretty crazy: Supposedly in order to get people to see the flaws in ASGS, someone has hacked ASGS.
Yet ASGS has been used for many years without problems. The potential for abuse has been there, but it wasn't abused. The person who is doing the hacking is creating a problem more than they are bringing attention to it. Sure, as long as they stick around and keep ruining the game a better security system will be needed. On the other hand if they just
left, based on past experience, it seems odds are good that the problem wouldn't come up again for a good long time.
It's incredibly stupid (obviously) to assault a team of volunteer developers working on their free time to keep a ten-year-old game running by creating new problems for them, in order to supposedly point out how unprepared they are to face said problems.

What's even more stupid is that the person who would normally be responsible for
fixing this flaw (since it's with the Allegiance/lobby C++ code, not ASGS) is instead exploiting the flaw and hacking the game.
Really, he's only pointing how @#(!ty he is at what he does: Yay I hacked a system since I couldn't fix it at any point in the last 5 years.
God the more I think about it, the funnier it is. Imago is trying to embarrass us by saying ASGS is insecure, while simultaneously he is exploiting weaknesses that he failed to fix himself xD

man this coding/dev drama is horribly stale
go get laid, get drunk, something, $#@!. i don't see how anyone can be so emo and butthurt over not getting their way when it comes to playing in a coding sandbox for a 10 year old game that no more than a hundred people really give a @#(! about

We do seem to have a rather spectacular mini-drama-hurricane here Viru.
We just need a working relationship with a few. Maybe Bard and Cage get drunk and have a long talk over Mumble or something. I wouldn't let YP anywhere near Alleg code anymore, and much as I appreciate the work Imago has done (he's very fast!) he can practically get into a fight with himself!
