I think Gandalf just pwned Saruman not Sauron. He just conquered the Isengard sector not Mordor that's from another game.

EDIT: I put Moria instead of Mordor

Even then, he showed up to find that Green Team had already capped the base there and just sort of wandered off.

Also part of the Green Team killed off Hvy Ints that were left alive after the failed bomb run on Helm's Deep
