Why do you all hate the pali? I really like it, and the idea of a fixed model that allows me to fly in those spaces inside the model is awesome :iluv: .

New well mapped models are needed for proper texturing.

I hate the pali.
But Pali and GT doors are part of the balancing.
GT pali very very big and can be bombed much easier than most bases. If you plant it in the middle of the sector it is in 2.5k range to all alephs.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.

oh comon, right now I feel that GT's have bases with doors that are "a little to the left", "im sorry, did I say the door was there? I means the walls of the base", "haha! did you really try to boost into the landing bay?!"

I always assumed it was a design feature to make HTT'ing harder.

Just as a general aside.

The biggest thing holding back new and better models for Alleg is there is really no one responsible for acting as a sort of admin for that all. There really needs to be one person who acts as a central sort of excel sheet for whats wrong with what, whose fixing what, and how are they going to fix it.

Many times I noticed efforts are duplicated.
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Apr 14 2010, 05:06 AM) Rain fixed some of the doors. Somebody else also did some work on GT. Which ones still need work?

We are so organised here on FAO
Agreed.

If you want to maybe, say, make a post in the topic linked above giving me specific requests on NON-GT CVH files which need to be fixed and information on why they are broken/what should be changed, I'll take a look. If you want to add any suggestions for the new GT artwork, check topics I posted above. I'm not working on GT CVH files until I either get the new GT models or have reason to believe that the new models won't be finished fast enough to make it worthwhile for me to look at the old ones.

Edit: I will define "fast enough" based on my schedule and what I feel like doing with my free time.

I actually rather like the GT pali.. it's the only base that gives you that warm 'big frikkin fortress in space' feeling. It can be made a bit smaller for balance reasons, but nothing wrong with how it looks.

RE making it smaller: I thought it was made bigger so it was easier to dock at?
