Seems about right. Just be sure to make clear who has the power to order your whole squad to self destruct and get home! The commander obviously, but XT has a few vets who can make calls like that (and they usually agree with eachother). Conflicting orders are a bitch to keep up with if you are new in the squad and don't know who to listen to and who to ignore.

This is a good point. While it is rare that there is disagreement on what is to be done, the mark of a good comm is knowing when to step in and over ride anything else that may be going on for a critical task

TS Discipline has been a big factor in XT ramping up from being "almost dead" to where it is now. Virulence will macromanage the squad and I will micromanage individuals. The chain of command is pretty clear and that is one of the most important aspects for any squad to have. Know the leaders, learn their voices, and learn not to talk over them. It's pretty rare in XT's SGs that conflicting orders will be issued however, in the case that Vir and I try to say something at the same time, I know how to STFU.
TS is nice and everything, but after playing games with five different squads, I will say the defining factor in their performances was always the TS discipline, and who is directing people. Idle chatter is fine before and after the game, but while the game is going on you shouldn't be opening your mouth to say anything unrelated.
We may not be carebears, nice, gentlemen, sportsmanlike, hell most of the time we're not even polite, but one thing XT will never lack is professionalism. Play the game like you're being paid to on Sunday.
