I certainly understand the passions and frustrations that develop in gameplay (I played Descent 1 and 2 on Kali years ago), but i know that it's
essential to remap the controllers. I tried to do it in game. My idea was, "Leave me alone and let me try to do it". It doesnt help that I haven't had a comp fo years and I bumble around alot. But this is one hell of a game/community/phenomenon in current computing and I shall persevere.

FYI, if you just want to fly about a bit to get a feel for it - you can create your own game, set it to 1 team and fly about, build cons, explore the tech tree etc.

To do this
Select create gamePick a server and core (CC07 is the commonest core atmjoin a teamClick the cross next to the other team name (to remove the second team)Change the settings the way you likeClick launch game


As for the boot, you shouldn't be booted as you are new unless you are actively disrupting your team in some fashion. See the wikifor further info. If you didn't get booted for a good reason - you should get in touch with BlackViper.
