I'm totally ok with it, you can use them as you wish. They are not all available online anymore but if there is any place with sufficient space I can re-upload them.

Another great way of advertising is using xfire live videos.
If we have enough people doing so, people might eventually stumble upon them.

None the less, i'll keep making some unedited gameplay snippits and posting them on youtube for you guys to use. I just want credit for them.

P.S: Wtf is an ftp?

DR, youtube degrades video quality to the point that is can't be used for quality materials. If you have the original files and want us to use them, we'll need you to make them available. Right now, ftp is the easiest way for me to collect them. What is ftp? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Transfer_Protocol

I'll send you a link later this evening with a url you can use and then drag/drop your items into the folder on the ftp server.

This reminds me Sai, there were a couple videos in the Source Art Peter Arisman gave us. I'll try to dig around in there and find them ( Sections 1-4 & 31 most likely if someone wants to look for themselves). I remember seeing a couple basic gameplay videos as well as 1 very short low res video with a Rix garr model/texture that will make you weep.

Mr. Arisman is also the one who did most/all of the work making the original opening cutscene as well. Since he gave us all those CD's of his work on the project, I'd assume that coupled with the MS code release eula we could use anything from that as well. I wouldn't think there'd be any need to contact solap about it. We've also got a couple premiere files of the opening cutscene. I haven't looked at them, but they might be helpful if you are wanting to edit something together.

Here's the link to the Art Source thread for more info: http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...showtopic=47996

Direct link to the torrent for those that want to poke around and see what they can find: Arisman Codex
My laptop is down at the moment, hopefully someone is still seeding (if not, pm Andon or Imago).

Good news and bad news.
Bad news is: I don't have the original files.
Good news is: I have high quality downloads of them that you can check out if you still want them. If they aren't good enough, you can trash em' and i'll work on some new ones either way.

The video quality: The most part is clear enough to see med-sized text (Names and such of ships) and what's going on. The red announcement text that comes up is completely pixelized so you can't read it. Chat can be read if you bother looking at it. It's higher quality than youtube has to offer. They're .flv files as well.
