Commander should have booted himself for giving a bomber to the new guy.

Also WB - another old Beta Master here!

This is another example of why we need Auto-Command.I've had good commanders that are beating the crap out of newer commander tell me to go to the other team, they didn't want me to "stack".Hell, what do you call it when a good comm(many of them use tricks to get their rankings lowered),go against a comm they know they are going to beat? Why should I work my butt off anti-stacking when I know the comm I'm flying for CAN NEVER WIN AGAINST THE OTHER GUY!

/BTW,welcome back :)

You shouldn´t take your bootings seriously today. Booting like happend to you are not that common. Just avoid that comm he seemed to be very e m o t i o n a l today.

Cheezits wrote:QUOTE (Cheezits @ Sep 28 2009, 08:11 PM) I think there is a "no booting a (#) unless you really have to" rule, but as people lose there (#)s just a few hours after they start playing nowadays.... its not really effective.

I could be hopelessly misinformed tho.
This is pretty much true. I've raised this issue with a ZL but what with the lack of time the admins have to devote to the game, I don't know if/when we'll see a change. Newbies need more time to be boot-protected, certainly at least some time after they are forced off the newbie server in any case.

QUOTE if we can just prevent booting newbies programmatically, just the same way most of us cant join newbie servers then this is solved[/quote]
Disagree.... there are times they really do need to be booted - anyone doing so can face the scrutiny of admins though. eg a newbie could be telling the other team what they are doing, or eyeing a htt run, or spamming all the time...

Back on topic.... Phallhell, as has been mentioned, you can rejoin with a new nickname (you're allowed three). This page on the wiki explains how and why you can do this. And welcome back, too :)

Phalhell wrote:QUOTE (Phalhell @ Sep 28 2009, 02:33 PM) I got booted twice : Once because a commander thaught I should stop dogfighting and save his pod first and second time because I left the wrong station with a bomber.
Point is : I can't play that game for one hour as there are no other games ongoing and the risk is high I end up with the same comm that will boot me again.
Sorry you got booted but if you log in with a different nick you can come right back, even fly for the other team. You get to have up to 3 nicks so that's how the rest of us deal with @#$%@# comms.

Welcome back, it's not as bad as it seems.

That it is, Allegiance has it's share of douchebags but we have more carebears and such.

Dude, don't sweat it. The comm was a prat for giving a bomber to a newbie. Not your fault. There is a 'no boot newbie' rule. You have to tell the newbie why you are booting them.

You can have 3 logins (hiders) so if you get booted you can rejoin, on the other team and kick their ass.

Allegiance has evolved a lot since you last played. It's a multi-verse of fun if you know it well. Don't give up mate, put that comm on your 'no fly list' and keep the faith. Most of the people are willing to help.
