Lxy HTT with a pair of AC turrets sounds weird, but right up Giga's alley. Since you generally have hvy int support though I'm not sure if it'd be useful, but I like the concept. I suppose the turrets could be changed to skycaps, making it a $2000 gunship that can capture bases, but I'm not sure if that'd be overpowered or not. Maybe leave their regular HTTs with ACs and the Lxys with skycaps. The range might help make up for the paper thin Giga hull by taking out a defender or two early.

The ability to mount ABs (similar to Rix, but different) on Lxy - and maybe normal HTTs too - also seems like an interesting idea.

No but you would appreciate the speed/hull/weight/agility upgrades.

I fail to see why exp endgame needs fixing when you have adv con pushes with heavy ints.

I think a simple sig perk on the giga HTT would make it better, they've already got a very nice ram profile for hvy ints and unless you're willing to go Lxy with giga HTT any other change is probably gonna infringe on other factions.

For Lxy HTTs, I'd say 1500$ price tag with 10% more hull/max speed/mass would be a nice start to see how things do.

I kind of like the Queen's idea of NG missiles (though I do realize (s)he was being cheeky). Make the HTT more expensive (mucho, obviously) and maybe even slower, but let them carry an NG. They would need to obviously have both the EMP and NG missiles, and NGs take a bitch of a long time to load, but it would make capping GT stations or Rix Exp a lot more feasible...would also open the possibility of dual-htt runs, an eyed EMP and a sneaky NG that comes in the other side to cap once shields are down.

If the Lxy HTT cost something like 2K, I would either want SkyCaps (not ideal) or both Cloak and LtBooster. Forget more EMPs or the ability to mount ABs or NGs, HTTs are meant to be able to dock. I know cloaking HTTs is BIOS' specialty but there is no reason why Giga can't do it too. You'd think the Giga nerds would look at the BIOS HTT and decide that HvyClk is a good idea if expensive, and LtBooster is fine too.

No matter which way you cut it, at this moment with crappy Giga ops and crappy Giga ints, a cloaking, boosting HTT would not be unbalancing.

The idea I like best out of you nubbins is perking HTT speed across the board. I would look to change that first and then look to see whether or not anything else needs to be added, like LtBooster on Belter HTTs.

Another idea I would like to throw into the Lxy HTT pool is letting the HTT have "thrust vectoring", ie insanely good sidethrusters and agility. This would mean acceleration, so you could sidethrust from 0-60mps in like 1 second. Could be an interesting dyanamic and it would most certainly make Lxy HTTs very fun to fly. Imagine lining up for a ram only to have the HTT strafe to the right like a beast! The HTT would dance around the defenders before docking. This would also make nanning somewhat of an interesting affair.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

You all have some weird ideas about Heavy Troop Transports. One minute its nerf exp, next minute its give HTT's Lt booster or add a lxy htt in. EXP's endgame is harder for a reason, cause you have super powerful ships flying around with the power to obliterate most any other ships. You should just give Exp a win button and be done with it.
