What Jarvis said. Tribes2 has similar problems, similar in concept to Alleg but an FPS. It's impossible to boot griefers or unify the team, and the griefer also has the option to try to boot you - Then it becomes a 50/50 shot as you play boot vote tennis waiting for ppl to get annoyed at all the votes.

Yes I play BF as well and that annoys me to no end when people go nuetral like that... or aren't paying attention enough to know why a boot even started.

Plus, if you turn boot voting on, that gives the people worthy of bootage the right to continue doing what they're doing if the boot fails for some odd reason.

Friends would be reluctant to press Y when faced with booting another friend...

If the person being booted did nothing wrong, enemies of that person would press Y anyway out of hatred...

I agree with the commander keeping complete control over his players. If you get booted, who cares, it's a game. You probably have something more productive you could be doing anyways.

This is a categorically "NO" thread. Sometimes people need to be booted, and they need to be booted immediately.
