I have, and it worked just like it said on the box:Broodwich wrote:QUOTE (Broodwich @ Dec 3 2008, 11:37 PM) Has anyone actually had this work? I tried this about a year ago and posted and all that and there was never a fix
Step 1: Plug it in
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Play!
For comparason, Roadrunner--Kansas City, @#(!ty D-Link 600series router.
The only wrench that might be thrown in there is that one computer is DMZ'd while the other isn't. Possibly conflicting UPNP 'plugs' generated by @#(!tastic router?

Here should be my final post on this matter.
The problem has been solved by a new router. The bad one was 5+ years old, and the tech guy at the store said that they DO get old....http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/st ... /blush.gif .... I dunno, maybe the switching?? So I broke down, and $40 later we are happy and it has worked for several hour-long sessions instead of choking at 5 minutes. http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/style.../Pook/smile.gif
fyi the new one is a net gear 614... Mostly just the default settings, no wireless, but I did turn on Pings from the WAN, which seemed like it would be necessary.
Thanks all for your advice.
