Especially about Sanctuaries, I probably wouldn't have thought to clean em out of controlled sectors.

You just need 1 RP in the enemy home to do the job.
As for the # of RP, I often take 6, but usually stay with 5 so I can load a prox and get some kills while I probe.
The only thing that can match a RP is a TF beacon. The only problem with RPs is that you only get them with IC, which gives them a 17.6% extra sig penalty. If Bios had RPs.... it would be completely impossbile to deprobe against them.
