I don't agree.

But I tell you what. If aarm and spidey want to take that list of late joiners and hold their own little mini-draft and both of them pm me with results so that I can confirm they agree on the results I'd be ok with reassigning them. I don't have time to do mini-drafts every week.

I will pm Aarm then
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

1. Post the official list of joiners for the week
2. spidey & aarm rank all of them in order of preference, both send the lists to you
3. Look at next-to-pick comm's list. Find the next person on the list who isn't yet picked.
4. Repeat #3 until everyone is picked.

e.g.: Alice, Bob, Chuck and Doug want to join this week.
aarm makes his list: Doug Alice Bob Chuck
spidey makes his list: Doug Bob Chuck Alice

spidey gets first pick, so he gets Doug
aarm gets Alice because Doug is picked
spidey gets Bob
aarm gets Chuck

This shouldn't take long, if we're just getting 10 or 15 people a week. Give each side 24h to make their lists, look at them, done.

I fully expect the flow of late joiners to slow down. I've already seen it slow down. That group is 3 weeks worth. Future batches will only be one weeks worth. So what do we do when it comes down to one person joining per week? You could pretty much decide which team you get to join by waiting until your desired team's turn is up.

The only automated process I'm open to using is AllegSkill. That won't be available until the AllegSkill project gets back up and running. I have my reasons for not wanting to use any automated process except AllegSkill. Any other automated process is too easy to manipulate. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but am I not already doing enough for Allegiance Wars? Its easily costing me 10 hours/week on the low end. Posting joiners, waiting for responses, and sorting draft results out are all things in additon to what I've already got set up.

This group of people are starting to sign up on the AW forum. I need to know soon whether we are keeping the original assignments or spidey and aarm will be holding a mini draft so that I can assign them to a usergroup.

Aarm has not yet responded to my pm. I have no interest in a mini draft just a trade for trade as listed above

Aarm has not yet replied to me so imo you should just give me my trade as requested. I think aarm makes out better in the deal anyway as I want to trade an old school, talented, and amazingly skilled vet for a newbie

Appreciate the nod Spidey.

I was expecting//hoping for a mini-draft, but trades make good sense to balance that out, as does the point mcwarren put up about as the war goes on, the trickle of players to draft from diminish - making the effort for it less and less fruitful but pretty much as much work, compared to say, an automatic recruitment system.

If Aarm would rather have me than let that trade (or some other counter trade) pass though - then I will fly with just as much vindication for his team.
