I can tell you all now. You CAN dock at an attack carrier that is shielded.

You can dock at it with shields up usually

IT all depends on the state of the shields. IIRC, if they haven't taken any damage and have not been re-mounted (IE, have not recharged at all), then the ship can dock. IF they have taken damage, or have been re-mounted, then the ship might be able to dock, depending on the state of the shields and a few other things that I'm not sure of

Wierd glitch for sure...
Problem is with the dropping shields, they take forever to re-mount them and to have them fully charge. And because caps are mostly shields, it really puts them at risk to have to take them offline.
Seriously, why have that feature at all? Bases don't have to drop shields for people to dock.
