I don't think that GS needs nerfs. When you compare GS and corvette and notice that GS are usually better, imo the problem has more to do with how weak corvettes are for their cost than by because GS are too strong.

The argument of nanned GS is weak imo because if you have people nanning GS, it means you have less GS. If people stopped rushing GS 1 by 1, nans really wouldn't matter much.

Corvs also tend to suck more because of people who buy large 2, instead of skycap 2.

Corvettes are awesome. Try putting one in charge of defending a base that is being tp2'ed. So long as it's not a double-drop and there are fewer than 15 bombers ripping in, the corv should pwn them all. You can't say that of a gunship - it's slower/less manoueverable (I think), has 2 turrets to the 3 of a corvette, will probably have skycap 2 (yeah yeah I know gs would at this point too!) and is much harder to kill. I think corvs cost £3k atm? Drop them to £2k.

Also Mr K, I don't know if you are aware but gunships used to be able to drop prox. They completely wasted EVERYTHING so they were sensibly removed. You can still pull off the same effect now but you need teamwork (oh noes!!).

edit - also to those who say gs aren't much use really.... they are also excellent miner d/miner o vs anything but tac.

How about giving corvettes a forward skycap gun instead of the standard AC that gunships have as well that is pretty much worthless when used on a wide ass ship such as a IC corvette.

Would this disrupt things too much? 2x forward skycaps on a corvette?
