B) Cadet I is the 'newbie course' that only spans a few weeks as opposed to the two months. They are forbidden from commanding in the first place with their tag on - So why not make it easier on everyone by coding it in?
So, let me get this straight - it's not CDTs comming that is bothering you, (even though in your original post you state, "This, I think, would help a lot with the issues of Cadet I's thinking they know enough to command and just making idiots of themselves ")

BUT it's the fact that they are wearing their tags while they are commanding. I see your point. I hate when commanders wear their tags. I think we should forbid anyone from wearing tags while commanding. Also women should have to wear some sort of spandex while nanning...and people who smoke should have to shave while doing HTT runs.

Our plan is falling into place /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" />

Dumb idea. You're just making others work for no good reason. Just cause one CDT is a dolt doesn't mean the next is. Doing so would also bar any vet who just happens to be taking CDT from comming.

If they want to make a fool of themselves, let them. It will only happen sooner or later. If they're a headache for BV, it won't matter if a cadet is wearing his tag or not.

Whereas the initial idea -- making this only about Cadets -- may not be good, having a means of preventing command for an arbitrary reg-ex-capable list (or at least a name-match and tag-match) might be a neat alternative to the ban-hammer. Someone consistently causing problems when they get the command seat, but otherwise ok? Banned-from-command. Inverting it to be a white-list rather than a black-list, ACS could potentially get the opportunity to command at specific times without having to fight for the seat. Or during zone-game set-ups, you can ensure the correct people get the comm chairs.

Next, I'd like to see the ability to ban-from-ship and ban-from-faction... /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
