I used Esc -> G -> J, which was a pain in the ass, until I mapped a button on my mouse to toggle it. I set "0" as the toggle within Allegiance and then used SetPoint to assign one of the mouse buttons to "0".

(I have 11 different mappable items on my mouse... /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> )

Hmm. Instead of resassigning the controls, try buying a serapate NUMERIC PAD. Logitech sells wireless ones that connect to your USB ports. That might work... I mean, if you can't reassign the mouse control toggle button, then just buy it. But if it's too expensive for you, I am out of ideas.

Mine doesn't. Pics or it didn't happen.

EDIT: On-Topic, try spacebar for the toggle. You won't use it for anything else.

I fly with a laptop, and my remap is left shift + whatever you have to the right of it. Doubles as reload. I've had it all over the keyboard, but this one is a keeper.

Takes a while to find a good remap for a crowded laptop keyboard. Keep at it.

I fly a laptop keyboard. You don't need a keypad.

I have spacebar mapped to switch mouse control on and off (like Eris). that's how Freelancer does it, and it works pretty well.

One of the best things I did was to clear the keyboard mappings, ALL of them, and rebuild from scratch. It helped.

No,you don't get it. Vector lock needs space, it's so important.

I use space for forward thrusters.. and esc-g-j for virtual joystick, and then never turn it off, but use F3 to mouseover my minimap..

I disagree.

Oh hey, fly in a straight line if you want. That doesn't make you easier to hit or anything.
