Image quality, filesize(both dependant on what filetype you use, obviously if you point your text mdl at a 16 bit bmp you won't get an improvement in either), and easier editing for all us art people. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I use png's.

yeah, .png's will keep the same quality as .bmp's but with much smaller filesize. The cost is the few CPU cycles needed to decompress the png data, but on the upside, it is much easier for people to download. Depending on your harddrive vs cpu speeds, one version will load faster than the other, but there hasn't been any testing on it.

The text mdl's make future editing much easier as you only have to create the text .mdl's once and can just edit the .pngs or .bmps directly after that.

Very nice!

I suggest 2 improvements:
1) Remember last selected folder.
2) Remember zoom selected between images and sessions (now it resets itself to 100% when switching images).

I think both can be implemented using an ini file.

Very good! One thing though:

This in not so obvious what it does. The "?" usually means help. You can put another icon or "S" for settings or just "Settings".

Selecting a btnteam(color here)bmp.mdl (i.e. btnteambluebmp.mdl) file throws an exception: "Requested range extends past the end of the array"
Selecting a (planet here)lobbybmp.mdl (i.e. marslobbybmp.mdl) file does the same.

Not sure if it's supposed to be able to read those or not.

A very useful program imo
