Emp mines, emp cannons and adv. sup will stopp nix HTTs. Nothing in Allegiance is technically unstoppable but practically it depends on what tech you have available.
At least you should see them coming and have a camp ready.

In a camp, sure (unless the hvy ints go in first and rape the $#@! out of said camp, of course). In the open, with laser cannons? Not really.

Well, they can't nan their HTTs so if you just decide to randomly nerf the shields they technically DESERVE you are ruining their expansion. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":unsure:" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I haven't really played enough games to comment much on the balance of nix, but those few games I played in which nix was allowed to get cheese tech were rather.. frustrating, shall we say, for the non-nix side.

Nix Htt's are easy to stop in large games , and even in smaller games like 5 vs 5 they can be stopped if the team works together .
On the other side planned stealth Nix htt runs are hard to stop . Yes u can stealth htt with Nix u just need to clear the probes .

I think the regen rate of the shields is the real issue though, ass vs basic medium shield, ass has 4x the regen rate at level one, and it falls to 3x at level 3. The shields are already pretty beefy, but it's the regen rate that kills teams which don't have dis3/emp cannons.
12.8 X 2.4(shield damage index) = 30.72 for using Dis 1 per second
Ass 1 has a regen rate of 20 a second and 800hp. A single dis1 would take you approximately 75 seconds to take it down.
32 x .5 = 16 (Gat 1 vs Ass shields) If your using a single gat 1, you couldn't even get close to stopping it)
In fact, Gat 3 is less effective then Dis 1 against the shields actually
(50 x .5 = 25)
If they had a higher total amount of hp, and a lower hp regen, they wouldn't hold up as well in smaller games, but still perform about the same as they do in bigger games.
I could be entirely wrong about the way i've been thinking on that though. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

Okay maybe it is a tad cheesier (but only a little /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />). Unless you kill all their miners/cons and box them within the first 10-13 minutes they become almost impossible to beat. Once you failed to prevent them from mining like 3 sectors: they can get UppedGarr » GS » HvyScouts » a Techbase (lets say Sup with ac2) and of course the feared Transc. After that all they need is 2-3 additional miner loads and you will face vanguards + random stuff like AssltStarbases/Drones..
I would not worry about the Nix HTT. I would be more worried about the fact that it can rip to the AssltBase they pushed with joy 1k next to your IC AdvExp without IC being able to stop it.

ps: If you want to kill AssltBases rush galv. If you want to kill a transc.. well unfortunatly that's only possible with xrm2/lrm.
