Mmmkay. I did a couple of passes on the page, some major some minor. Article split into two areas "Allegiance Meme" and "Internet Meme"Allegiance meme is for the jokes that are internal to our community (If I say DONINATOR in my other community, would people get it? Another thread reminded me... zwitter and the one sector strategy was pretty funny in its day.

Haha, I remember when Harold3 was new and I actually flew with him commanding our team. Takingarms stops donating because of harold's idiocy. He then single donated all the money to other innocent players. Harold thought it was the other vets who weren't donating because they had cash (even though f6 would tell you who was and wasn't donating) and promptly booted half his team.

Actually harold could have become a decent member of the community, he just had one or two misconceptions about the game. Mainly that he thought if he had "Game Control" then it gave him authority over the actions of all the players on the server. If he wants to micromanage his own team, I suppose that is fine, but he shouldn't have expected to be able to do that to the other team. It's a freaking competition for @#$%! sake. However he just misunderstood the rules/guidelines of the community. This made him see anyone doing contrary to his expectations as a cheater. His other problem was assuming that if the other commander got adv tech/map control up faster then they must have been hacking. Again he misunderstood how the game worked.

As I recall, @FTW actually started as a joke squad with a fake roster made up of various clue-lacking players, including Yanlin. Yanlin actually picked up this ball and ran with it by way of trying to turn it into a real squad, which naturally just opened him up for still more ridicule.
