I suggest that those interested and able to help in French make it known, and pay attention to the Aide en Français thread and see where it goes.
At worst nothing bad happens, at best we'll have 1000's of French players.
(and every game will end in a resign- pardonnez-moi je ne pourrais pas l'aider, Vive le Québec libre! Et vous la belle France) /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

i just hope people don't get called racists for saying they don't want to fly for non-english commanders when they don't want to get booted for not knowing wtf their comm is saying to them (like wise with coms not wanting to have non-english pilots because they would like their pilots to be able to understand their orders)
ANL with teams with different languages could be funny

It is not racist, It is a question of communication. How can I be racist for demanding that people speak english, it is not even my mother tongue...

Yo we're not talking about in game here.
Just forums.

my point was that with lots of people who don't speak english, there is probably someone who will try to join a team but doesn't speak the language of the comm, the comm says no, and then they come and whine on the forums about how xyz was racist because they wouldn't take them because they spoke a different language, then you get a few others who jump on their bandwagon because they didn't read how silly it is, and think "you should be able to play on whatever team you want [never mind if you can't communicate with them]"
i don't have a problem with other language people coming here /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
i was just thinking ahead trying to reduce future flames when someone refuses to let someone on their team based on what languages they speak

madP I understand where you're coming from. Keep in mind that almost all of these potential new players will still be using English, it's that they'll need a little help to overcome the language barrier especially in the written form.

All the advertisements are in English, Cadet is in English, you have to know English to make an account, let alone navigate the forum.
There would not be a language problem.

More likely they don't come here because they deal with attitudes like yours. That's incredibly rude.

I speak English and French fluently and read and write them without major problems... I can't however write in French to the degree where I can explain someone how to fix a car or fly a plane. Again, since you KEEP missing it, this isn't about someone coming here that's never heard of Enlish, it's for people that will have difficulty in communicating technically in English.
