i use dreg gauges and "the man" (atm i'm using it to train my aim), they don't bother and give me all the info i need)

After a certain point, you don't even need to look up there to see that information. I really don't know how to put it other than you just 'feel' how much hull/fuel/ammo you have left.
Years ago I used the hardware HUD, and I'll admit that switching to software took some time. But once you've switched and given it some time, you'll never switch back. You just can't put a price tag on a clear line of sight.

Very true aarm, also I've found that my peripheral vision extends to there regardless. Now if only Cort would get his mod out so I could have the little targetting thing at the bottom.

When? During flight? No, but Madpeople made a mod that shows the eye during launch.

RavUI gives all the functionality of the default Hud with the look of the (far better and clearer) SW hud. It's part of the CortUI package, try it and see if you like it.
