Soloing an IC Exp with a Rix SBS vs IC hvy ints with pulse probes.
The other side was stacked too. I still don't know how I did it.
What, just maybe, made you think you MIGHT be competent?

i remember way back when NakPPI was terrorizing allegiance.
he was going somewhere in a hurry but not after me.
i dropped a proxy and nak ran thru it. someone on our team wrote
in the chat box "Outpost $4000, bomber $500, NakPPI running into
mines at over 200mps and dying.....Priceless"

Cry,'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war -Julius Ceasar

Discovering and capping an advanced tac lab within 30 seconds.
Spending 20min deprobing an uncontested sector (goddam bunnyrabbit kept reprobing it), getting a bbr, ripping to our nearest sector and driving the 10k to blow up their adv exp in a 20v20 game. $#@! knows what the other 38 people were doing.
Getting horribly stacked against before the game started so, instead of whinging, set the imba to N/A, autoaccept on and, 2 hours later, getting a draw.
Being the only sb smart enough to rush in to a heavily turtled sector as our aleph res went off - almost died actually - and then blew their home exp while their entire team sat on alephs.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I had a particularly good day today. I've been trying to work on my DF skills and hold my own vs. your whores out there.
Played two games for Fed, one win, one loss before the massive 4 hour Fed Vs. McW game today.
In the 2nd of two Fed vs. Ashriel games, I managed to rack up some nice kb's and finished with something like 27 kills, 6 ejects. We end up losing the game but I proved to myself that I can handle a furball and stay alive for quite some time.
It was this one.
Then having the Fed Vs. McW and breaking 50 kills for the first time. Sure I got 29 ejects but hey, I'm not complaining. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Then of course there's that old graduation match for Drizzo while I was a cadet and put the nail in the coffin in an SB. In reality Beardwand did all the work but it was nice to get all the credit. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Newbie game, for some reason it got stacked 2 to 5, and about half way through my teammate leaves making it 1 vs 5. In a last desperate attempt I pick up a cruiser, stuff it with nukes and go base hunting, I had to take out an enemy capship on the way, and I learned that nukes do the job just fine /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> . After taking out some bases they manage to pod me, I rip home (Thank you BIOS) and spend the last coins in the bucket on another cruiser. On the same route I meet another capship, for the second time that incident saves the remains of my base, and I go on to take out the rest of their base. They certainly try to take out my cruiser (rather than wipe out the few undefended bases I have got left as they should have done long ago), but their gunship strategy fails to get the job done in time and I'm victorious /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
1337 is when you can use the different leading of particle and energy weapons to allow a Ga'Taraan Scout to fire at enemies and nan a bomber at the same time.
