What most posters here dont get, like always because they dont read before posting, is that I was talking about behavior when wearing the @Alleg tag.
But well, I'm not forcing anyone or asking to. I just thought that wearing @Alleg was about showing example. I have my answer, it's no.
What they do or not when not wearing the tag is out of subject.

superbob wrote:QUOTE (superbob @ May 27 2007, 08:42 PM) ive been banned before for playing in newbie servers while i was just in the lobby. they should put a block cookie on games that are newb only vet only and so on. and alleg players just ruin experience for the newbs by basically stacking the game. imagine.
your a (0) newb with 5 other newbs and 6 on other team. then all of a sudden a alleg player with 25 rating comes in. qoute from
finger "just because we can" then the newb freaks out and other team wants a vet also. starting newb fights. a horrible battle of newbs not knowing wat they say but say it anyway, so i think alleg players should stay in lobby in a newb game....because they can help outside of game just as well,. as the good lord intended....instead of disturbing the peace in newb land..... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
yup my quote, BUT, i never said anything about joining a game to ruin it. I check in on the noobie server to see if there are any questions, if not, i wish them a good game and move on.
without knowing hte situation on what happened, maybe a team asked the VET to join to point somehting out??? i dont know, but i have NEVER been asked to join a game on the noobie server, and so far never have.

While the rest of the @Allegs are speaking up here that it's not part of the job (and right now it isn't), I'll be the devil's advocate and take Kage's side of 'well, if it isn't part of the job, than maybe it should be.'
And, he's got something of a point, and maybe that should be discussed in a seperate thread more specifically dedicated to the matter. I myself will try and get a discussion about it going on the @alleg private forums as well.
For me, making sure the rabble-rousers are under control, and newbies are protected is job # 1. Trying to get a decent game organized is a close second in my opinion.
You can't, however, rely on some designated, (effectively) powerless person to get a quality game going. Right now, @Allegs have a tool by which to do their jobs (the banhammer, and immunity from ASGS booting on the newbie server), and no such tool by which to promote quality gameplay.
When I joined, was the game stacked? Yep. Would me anti-stacking have made a difference? Highly unlikely.

asking @allegs to always anti stack is a tough thing to do, and i think we would see alot less @allegs in game.
besides didnt another group try to make an antistacking rule *cough* ACE *cough* yeah....

@Allegs are supposed to be on the newbie server to answer questions, and are trusted not to whore mindlessly. If you see one abusing their position, send a PM to BlackViper.
Every new player upon reaching rank 5 gets a message that they *aren't* supposed to play on the newbie server anymore, and vets know better by now.

they dont care if that happens theyll go to a hider... and it would take a lot of offences to get an alleg play banned
