Expansion is named such primarily because it has adv cons. The idea is that even against a strong force, you could push a con into a sector and whore the sector with ints. Ints are "supposed" to be tied fairly close to a base, but there is a lot of debate on whether or not its too easy for them to go long ranges.

2nd reason: HTT's. Capping a base "expands" your territory. Blowing it up with bombers or galvs doesn't gain you any territory, it merely reduces how much the enemy has.

Supremacy is ideally about using your figs to rip around quickly responding to threats and killing any enemy bases that arise in a very fluid manner, thus lording over the entire map.

Tactical - Derision
Sf -> Cloak Hardpoint - allows ints to mount sig cloak
Utl 1 and 2-> Armor Piercing Ammo 1 and 2 - overwrites normal minigun, the difference is in the damage class, where they are given improved damage against utl hull.

So, youd be makeing TAC the most powerfull? Imagin it for a moment, UTL-Mini3 cloaking ints, owning up everything in sight. All they need is a bomber or something

I'm all for that
Mad? Oh yes, quite mad.

Well, you'd still need dual tech paths for it, but yeah, why not?

Exp is fun and requires lots of action while Tac requires you sitting around for hours and hours doing nothing but picking off random players. Tac vs Tac is exceedingly painful, but Exp vs Exp gurantees action, action, action.

Sup is okay too.

Only if you're playing tac wrong, You should be out in scouts or SF finding miners and owning them, tracking down cons, and keeping your own miners alive to get SB up. but for the record, I play tac wrong and I'm guessing a lot of other people do.

Killing all the enemy miners while all of yours die make for very, very long games. Plus because you have SFs all enemy bombruns will be eyed. Same for yours. This actually happens in 90% of Tac vs Tac games.

Not if you rush tp1 and use your tf sf to drop a tp right next to their home tac!

Who needs adv tech when you can have basic sup, basic tac and garr!

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

My dream is that one day the fuel on interceptors will be nerfed by roughly 30%. I don't really mind the fact that ints dominate in 1v1 fights. I do mind the fact that they can travel 1 sector over, dominate, and then get back to home, *and* do it faster than any other techpath. Sup, by contrast, has the same range as expansion, but less 1v1 fighting capability.

I don't want to see the damage output of interceptors nerfed, I just want people to have to think about whether they *really* can afford to go run to the next sector over to kill that miner.
We've upped our standards. Up yours.

I really have no idea what you're talking about. Of the last ten games I've flown, I think slightly less than half of the time I've been exp. GS sup is very popular right now.
