Well, now I can't join FTX. I still can join BServ.

So, who actually controls the route to any of these servers? Is there a setting in the servers for allowed packet loss, and I'm over it? Is there some way I might be the cause of lost packets?

the routes are determined by each router. So each on of the 'hops' makes it's own determination about what the best route is.

Your problem occurs when you hit the Level3 routers ... and the only people that control the routing on Level3 routers is .... Level3.

The only control most of us has in determining our path is the first 'hop' ... which is the ISP we use.
