Vote for the idea that only people with an '@' are allowed on the SG server, and teams too of course.

I am fully in favor of this idea.
My one concern is with observers/potential recruits.
They do sit in on squad matches and it would be handy to have a "@Tag" for these people.

They have their tag: @Cadet.

I'm sure I said this somewhere.
Do we have two related threads going on?

in some cases (which happend to me), one finished cadet and was not a squaded player. Then he/she won't have any @tag on. If a squad want to recruit or let he/she see a squad game, he will not be allowed in.

Well, if the other squad agrees to turn off the setting for that game, you solved the problem.

What about simply changing the server name? For example: "FTXb EoR - RT vs PK (SG)" or "Planet DN 00.04.45 Beta - SF practice"
This would forewarn joiners, and help out when multiple SGs are runnning.

That requires having a server admin around to do so and restart the server.
It's very rare that a player without a tag is in a squad game, and I can't even think of it once on my part.

In the past, we all just passworded squad games the password "squadgame"
Now, I think we don't even bother because unlike back in 2007, there aren't any newbs floating around trying to get into games.
