Last time we played against you (first weekend of january), we beat you on the Planet servers. But, ask a couple of other european players, in the last 2-3 weeks, planet servers were horrible: You aim at a ship and just as you begin shooting, it jumps out of your gun aim, you reaim and you might get a few hits, but it jumps again. Yes, it is plenty of fun to play that way. We have played many games on planet, won many, lost many. There are only few games, where the lag played a deciding role and this was one of it. (Another one was against XT, where the damage of MF skycaps lagged off the defending light ints.)
Maybe when not all of the squad matches are played on the US servers anymore, you will notice, that some of the losses are really lag based and you are not happy with it either. Feel free to complain then, as the EU players really understand the problem (6.5 years of US servers only).

Sorry to put this post back ON topic but did anyone grab the stats from the game and can they be posted as I would like to have a look. I was out of town and not able to play in the games and would like to see how both teams did.

SysX sucked pappi, but Lag came in and single-handedly won us the game...

He is now SysX- Lag FTW

Planet is lagging a lot the last few weeks. You notice crappy lag there easily :

- changing screens takes 2 seconds and sometimes rapidly changing screens crashes you
- you fly through an aleph and then you are 200m behind it before you pop through
- ships jump, bullets miss
- abs lag several seconds

All much worse lately then before.

It's annoying but since we will alternate squad games to EU/USA servers both teams can alternate their whining /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Trust us Euros when we say that a game can be lost due to bad lag, we lost to SYSX often enough without complaining about the lag, this time however it bad enough to severely affect gameplay.

lol grim we played on EU before. We will do it again. So stop saying " lag lag lag " I play on EU server every day. If the Europeans get better connection then I do then you should be performing better in every game due to your better connection. If I am running just allegiance I get about 100 lag on EU server. If I am running some other programs I might get 200+.... If I get 200+ lag then I will scout the whole game. So you cant blame lag for your game play. Because if your a good pilot then you will find a way to benefit your team and win teh game.

Also, I need your supreme Alleg knowledge to explain something to me Vip. Since all of GB was lagging worribly (200+ lag), you say that they should just suck it up and fly scouts. What I'm interested in hearing is how a team of only belt scouts will defeat IC Hvy ints that are pushing bombers. Obviously I am missing something here.

The only thing youre missing TB is the other half of your brain. Also I love how, as always, without ever being there or being part of the discussion at hand, you somehow seem to 'know' exactly what is best.

The point here, which I'm certain TB will still miss after I spell it out, is that no squad goes around writing off a SG bc of lag. It happens to the best of us and you get over it. We lagged on EU badly and many of us- we did not complain in the public forums that the game was lost due to lag or that a bug issue on a core we maintain caused our strategy to be invalidated. It is insulting and hurtful and as Spidey pointed out unsportsmanly.
