Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Don't give out your personal information over the internet EXCEPT when doing business with a business you know ONLY if you are on a web page that begins with the prefix https://
Examples:
I know Bob's Fish and Chips, but unless it has a secure web site that begins with https://, I won't give them my credit card information over the internet.
I know Alice, but I won't give her my name and address over Yahoo! chat.
I know Charlie-Mart, and it has a web site https://www.charlie.com/purchase.com , and I feel safe buying my hats over the internet from Charlie-Mart.
Examples:
