no cost (i answered the other question in my blog)
i think manchester has a very good cnnection (serves a large part of uk too i believe)
i had 7ms latency on bf2142 one game i think (dont know where the server was though).
want some new players?
Heh, yeah I think I know what server you are referring too... I joined it as well and got a lag of 140 even though I am from germany.Shizoku wrote:QUOTE (Shizoku @ Oct 27 2006, 08:39 PM) I joined one of the euro servers that was put up recently, and just in the lobby I was getting 180lag.
(about 20 more than I got on the Planet servers)
Seeing that my normal pingtimes to a Euroserver are about 18-50ms I would assume that the high latency is due to some local property this server.
A (eventually paid for) high quality server would most likely perform far better.

Heh, when I was on dialup I would have been happy with a 90 lag. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer.....I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they get up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
I'm not on dialup and I'm still happy with a 90 lag /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />BEER wrote:QUOTE (BEER @ Nov 2 2006, 11:44 PM) Heh, when I was on dialup I would have been happy with a 90 lag. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
