Quickfires are fun when you load 180 of them on a dest and just hold down the button. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Remember madp, allegiance isn't about winning all the time, it's about having fun!

1) QFs deal 40, 40 and 50 base damage, respectively
2) Their modifier vs. lt/med shields is only 0.5
Oops! Thanks for pointing out my error... I don't know where I got the 60 figure... I must have mis-clicked on seekers (when bouncing between missiles and damage tables). Seeker 1s deal 60 base damage. Mea culpa. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

And yes... I failed to look at the shield modifier as well.

For the record, I don't use QFs generally. I should have re-checked my facts before posting. (I thought it odd that my erroneous calcs made them appear to be more powerful than I thought they were. That should have been my cue to recheck. <sigh>)

Quickfires are also great if you are shooting down TF plasma gens or Rix Combat/Station pods.

Yeah, qf's make for excellent Miner D against rix tac.

QF's are also good when assault nanning a bomb run. Good tracking and high speed means you can get a lock and fire 1-2 before the bomber needs you to nan it again. Especially nice w/ belt nan figs/sfs

yeah, i've just spent the last hour and a half flying an int with 2* normal top speed and accel, with half the mass, and a special booster that takes it up to 650 m/s, oh and 3 guns that do 6250 hp/sec each... it was very fun, even though it moves so fast you cant actually hit anything with normal mini

QF's are only good versus non-belter tac and in a situation you are able to spam them (gunships or vans before nerf). Period.

dumbfire is just what it is. dumb fire

it dosn't lock... IT'S WORTHLESS IF YOU AREN'T IN CLOSE RANGE! and it's worthless if the target is moving away from you in a vertical way... or horizontal... only if it's on your Z axis should you fire
