Can't do. The powerup isn't an editable part. At least not with ICE.

well, you could stick it in the installer, and take it off the AU

i know what a powerup is, i know what they look like, it may take me a little time to adapt. for me it would be a change it because we can.

but i know it will help new people who believe it gives their ship 1337 magical powers

though taking it off the au would cause problems :/

That way the newbies that DL and install this game will have the wrench icon and those that have many years experience in this game also have the intelligence to download the default and change it back. It'll take longer for newbies to figure out that they can change it, than it is for them to figure out what a power-up will do.

Whatever gets decided on this, I will be adding this to my site soon, under "mods". It will, as almost all of my installers do, include an uninstaller and I will also have a direct link to the default file it's self.

one of us is confusing things.

my idea was, put wrench in the installer, and remove both versions form the AU.

this means, any new installs (newbies) get the wrench, vets keep the lightning (as they already have it), and nobody's gets overwritten by the AU as there isn't a version on the AU to overwrite them

That sounds like a solid plan. Who is in charge of deciding what goes in the installer, and what on the AU?

Thalgor?

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

TE is.

And can the icon sizes be larger/smaller than the 16x16?

i think i've tried this, if i remember correctly, you can, but their top right corner is still aligned in the same place as the 16*16 icon, so as they move around the gutter at the edge of the screen they are closer to the edge on one side than the other, and it looks a little strange... if i remember correctly...

You can. The only size that really works aside from 16x16 is 32x32, and that still messes with F7 and F6.
