If I remember correctly we had a zone game that had 5 miners. One miner started out lost and you had to find him to use him. I don't know if this is related to the bug or not.

The larger zone games had the code changed to allow for more miners. I have that screen shot to this day /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The number of drones (miners/cons/carriers) is defined by the server. Just take a look at AGM... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I have tried to reproduce it with ImmZ (I wanted to test my idea on how the exploit works) and we did not succeed. My guess is that you need some higher lag to make it work and some luck. After all, Jimmy did not manage to repeat it in every game.
That's why I think that your attempts to recreate it were bound to fail on an offline server, madpeople.

yeah, i considered lag.

i guess if i really wanted to reproduce it, i would
1) use AHK to send mouse clicks very quickly
2) use someones 8 player server, as they are probabbly not hooked up to a 48TB/s internet connection like noirs

3) use some program do clog my connection (p2p, re-dl windows vista etc) - i cant do this in my halls (not allowed to use p2p, and we have very fast internet anyway, so i would have a hard time clogging it, and then they would shut my off for clogging it and then make me pay £50 to re-activate it

I have asked TE and Dog to work on this. As I mentioned above, the bug has always been there, it just is more "exploitable" now.

Thank you BV.

I hope for Jimmys sake that he comes to his senses and makes a public apology.

Jimmy has always clicked obsessively on everything.
In addition, he has always lagged.
The combination of the two has caused the server to recieve multiple orders simultaneously.
This was his "method", intentional or no, and I'm pretty sure he explained it as such.
