The thankless attitudes of many players here has burnt him out. He'll still do ASGS work that's necessary, but other than that, the community made him leave.

Hmm.
Well, not entirely a surprise this sucks the big one.
Getting burned out on something as involved and intense such as this is hellish issue. Hopefully, Pook will be back, and maybe, just maybe if and when he does come back, this place might be a little less insanse. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I've pm's out there from weeks ago, you- bv, and Thal in particular... still waiting on a few things...

Don't you get it?
It's this attitude that contributed to Pook's departure.
Every time people expect things to be done just because you've mentioned it to Pook/Thal is people taking them FOR GRANTED.
That can't happen anymore. Whatever it is you are "waiting on" you can continue waiting. Don't ever expect others to do crap that you want done just because you need it done.
These people went OUT OF THEIR WAY and devoted their own FREE time to take care of things for our community. You can't expect them to keep giving without any thanks.
Baxter, I hate to single your post out to underscore a message intended for the masses, but I did. Don't take it personally.
Our community is HORRIBLE to new players, and many of us (particularly those who have been here for 2 years or longer) have this chip on our shoulders that screams: "I've climbed the learning curve. That means I can belittle everyone who I think hasn't"
Unless we change our attitudes en masse, this community will simply die.

I don't think Vipur will have anything to do with it...
but I for sure know that Viper will not take @#(! from anyone, and between himself, myself, yourself, and anyone else who takes a stand... we all will change this community for the better together.

I can't even start to imagine how much this guy did for our little bunch of asshats, or how much @#(! he had to put up with in return... I sure hope he'll be back when things change for the better. Yeah, 'when', not 'if'. Cuz if nothing changes, no NAT fixes are going to keep this circus running, and I sure wouldn't see Alleg die.
Well Pooky, hope to see yer scout again someday.

I am just going to add this quick note. First, thanks for all of the PM's.
I want to make sure no one thinks this is a powertrip on my part or TE's. The last couple of weeks have been very hard. If we seem a little defensive, understand why.
The BEAR is not dead, I am not the new Pook. I have no intention of pretending to be Pook. I have no lofty ideas of being in charge.
I was given a choice to accept the challenge of trying to keep things running. I have never walked away from a challenge in my life. I truly hope this is temporary, if not then I will do my best.
I was stunned when I was asked, to be very truthful. My other half is a little upset that I have said yes. But that has softened a bit over the last couple of weeks.
I will the best I can for what I have been asked. I can offer nothing further other than fairness to the best of my ability.
Tired and just want to fly for a bit.
