So have I actually.

I'm curious as to what's causing it. Unfortunately since Allegiance takes up 100% CPU when in regular use, it makes it hard to see if the usage spikes during those pauses.

I'm starting to wonder if it was some recent windows patch that is the culprit.

For those who want to try to help track it down, try playing the game for a night in windowed mode (I know - that'll suck) and open the Task Manager beside it.

Sort the list of processes by CPU usage and Allegiance should be #1. When Allegiance pauses, take a look at what #2 is. Does some other process spike for a second and then drop off the #2 spot?

I will be quite mad if it's WGA or something related.

EDIT: PS - I have an ATi graphics card, so bahoday may be on to something. Do all others who experience these freezes have ATi cards?

I have an ATi card too, I haven't noticed any problems since the last update though. Will keep my eyes open and report back if something turns up. I'm running (effectively) an x850 XT at the moment.

Not quite at XT levels atm even with an Arctic cooler. I need to cut more holes in my case, add more fans and make the heat in this country go the hell away /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />
